I’m pleased to be sharing my art once again at Small World Gallery. Opening night I’ll also be bringing down my automatic divine reflection generator which I’ve rigged to save images of the evening. Come on down and be immortalized with your very own divine reflection.

The tragic circumstances regarding his death a few years ago are quite bizarre and sad. Particularly in light of the fact that at 75 he was still actively creating art and had begun to explore digital work.

I had the opportunity to paint again last weekend, hunched in the garage over my paint and tiles as the sun shone down outside. It’s a funny association, but when the sun is shining I feel the call to paint. I’m sure it’s a remnant of when I didn’t have proper lights and relied on sunny days off to get the proper lighting I need.

Based on a conversation I had with my love about what she’s looking for in a piece, I revised my approach, particularly in how I ‘framed’ these images, trying to create a sense of object or depth within the flow.

I’m quite happy with the results, and it’s opened up my mind in terms of input from other sources, so I’m going to pose the question: Which pieces are you attracted to and why?

This site has been in my mind for quite some time, but only recently have I come across the tools that I needed to make it happen. I’m really excited by the new gallery, and I’m hoping that people like the new form and format.

A number of people in the past have expressed interest in the painting style that I’ve used in my divine reflections. I’m happy to finally be able to focus on the raw paintings and present them as their own body of work. I’ve been deepening my relationship with the pure painting, and I’m looking forward to further explorations, so stay tuned for more pieces in the near future.

In the meantime, head on over to the gallery and let me know what you think…
